Here, public and private organizations and companies are ready to help you make your settling in as easy as possible. Get assistance with your paperwork and job search, or participate in our many informative events and get useful information on schools and childcare, banking and investments, volunteering, tax, accommodation and much more. Museums – traditional and contemporary art Greater Copenhagen has many different museums with everything from cultural history, art design and architecture to experience centers and aquariums. Sports and swimming pools – get fit in Copenhagen There is a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities in Copenhagen. How about taking a swim in one of the harbor baths? Many locals are members of different sports clubs and associations, and there are always new kinds of sports to try out. Volunteering – lend a hand! Volunteering has many benefits – new friendships, new skills and work experience are just a few of them. Libraries – borrow books for free The public libraries provide free access to all kinds of media, including books, newspapers/ magazines, music, DVDs, audiobooks and online resources – all for free. It is possible to borrow materials in many different languages, usually for one month at a time. In addition, they often organize different activities, such as events for children. Cultural centers – get involved in local culture The cultural centers in Copenhagen host a long list of activities, such as dance classes, theater plays, playing sessions for children, concerts and open workshops.
